Will you believe in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an important part of western society and many of us grew up using this magical icon. Recently I came upon the notion that Santa represents an exclusive archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is defined as an inherited memory represented inside the mind by a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
In searching for these symbolic images with this dear old man I saw that which Santa Claus represents can also be used to motivate us in creating to the new year. I see him like a fun-loving guy that literally brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all of our dreams and wishes be realized. Within this season we have been loaded with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, as well as the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I discover that santa picture ideas reflects several archetypes. He is seen in the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope and to assume that a greater day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith and the trust that most will probably be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really inside the exercise of power which is the motive, nevertheless the drive to bestow care on individuals who require it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He is about giving to others fulfilling the requirements. And that he fails to demand anything in return except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently an effective guy, settling on who gets a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. Whenever we are good of course, if we believe, Santa will guarantee we get everything you want.
An important part of Santa’s story will be the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney through the touch of his nose together with his yearly trek world wide. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and enjoy to all, one child’s heart at any given time. Santa will be the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to discover new ways of dealing, being and succeeding.
While we are coming up with our dreams, our visions, and our selections for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. While you have selected and after that more clearly defined the options in creating your 2010 Journey, utilize this method to shift your beliefs and allowing of this that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grown-up aspect of seeking to force, worrying over and wondering how things will change, on the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. An integral aspect of the skill of Allowing would be to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings permits us to open to the Infinite Possibilities of the Universe.
Then too, we are able to liken Santa’s management techniques into a universal manager. Is it possible to envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, within just one night? And all of punctually and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can perform for people, if we transform it to God/Source. Within the book “Ask & It Is Actually Given” one of many Proven Processes is catchusanta it onto the manager. As we set our goals, it’s like delegating into a Universal Manager. So that as we take a step back, and let the Universe set things into position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not giving up choices, we’re merely turning over all the details and creating our choices.
I urge you to target giving onto your Universal Manager everything you are feeling you have to do within this holiday week. You’ll think it is amazing that when we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve carried this out personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all of the chores I feel I have to do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, while some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had occasions when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to perform some of the baking. I’ve learned to simply accept help and reply with a grateful “Yes!” This procedure is priceless in most areas of life, not just the holidays. What The Law States of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that should happen to bring me my desires, Now.
